too much to catch up on

I haven't quite mastered working 40 hours, being a good mom & wife, being involved in my church and still having time for posting on my blog. So, here it goes...the last two weeks in short...

Thursday night..

Will, who has previously avoided all things bicycle-related, has become excited about riding his bike. Our new neighborhood has wide, flat streets and scarce traffic, perfect for learning to ride a bike. Last Sunday night, I took Will out for the first time in a very long time to try to help him learn to ride his bike. He wasn't too sure, but now, LOVES it! Every day on our way home, he asks me, "Can I ride my bike when we get home?" These pics are from last night also:

Ben's bike's tires were flat, so he's on his trike instead.

In the interest of all things being equal: I had a great picture of Ben on his trike, but for some reason, despite about 10 attempts, I can't get it to upload to the blog.

Last Saturday, all four of us participated in Race for the Cure in celebration of my friend, Karen Clark, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2007. After a couple of surgeries and lots of prayer, she is cancer free.

My friends: Michelle, Carole, Karen, me and Jennifer

Karen with her youngest son, Jackson (aka Baby Jack Jack)

My parents came to see Ben on his actual birthday, Weds., April 30th. Phyllis made him the cutest monkey cake. It was delicious--peanut butter and chocolate. Yum.

Playing with Papaw in the backyard.

Grandma and Papaw brought both the boys fishing poles and tackle boxes. Will had a great time practicing casting in the backyard.
